Aircraft maintenance

The aircraft maintenance and management of aircraft continued airworthiness of the own company and their customers is performed by the separate AIR «URGA» subdivision – Aviation Engineering Service.

AIR «URGA» Aviation engineering service has a Certificate PART-145 № UA.145.0002 issued by CAA of Ukraine. Maintenance is conducted in a modern hangar type building. The maintenance system meets the international standards of quality management system ISO 9001:2000.

We perform basic and line maintenance for aircraft of all types operated by the airline at the main base (Kirovograd), as well as at external operating bases. In addition, our aircraft maintenance base allows us to perform maintenance for other types of aircraft, namely ATR-72, Boeing 737-500, etc.

Reliability, timeliness and effectiveness of maintenance are confirmed by numerous distinction certificates from the UN missions management.

As a part of the next investment project AIR «URGA» established a Technical center, which is a set of additional facilities, equipment and cutting-edge docking hangar that meets the current requirements for aircraft maintenance organizations.

Maintenance is conducted by the certified engineering and technical personnel who have undergone the appropriate training, including from foreign experts.

In accordance with Maintenance Organization Exposition, approved by the CAA of Ukraine on August 10, 2011, the Aviation Engineering Service is authorized to perform the following works:

Line and Base Maintenance

A) Aircraft:

  • A1 – Аn-24;
  • A1 – Аn-26;
  • A2 – Cessna 172.

B) Work to provide more resources and service life:

  • B1 – turbine engines: AI-24 Series II, AI-24BT;
  • B2 – APU – RU19A-300

Weighing and estimating of the aircraft balance

Weighing and estimating of the aircraft balance is performed in accordance with the ICAO requirements (Doc 9760) and JAR-OPS 1.605, as well as the CAA of Ukraine instruction letter № 1.18-0408 dd. January 26, 2010. Weighing and estimating of the aircraft balance is performed by the AES certified specialists for An-24, An-26 aircraft in accordance with the Regulation “Weighing and estimating the balance for AN-24, AN-26, AN-30, AN-32 aircraft”, and for Cessna 172 aircraft in accordance with the Regulation “Weighing and estimating the balance for Cessna 172 aircraft”.

According to the results of in accordance with the weighing and estimating the aircraft balance “the report of weighing and estimating the aircraft balance” is made and it shall be recorded to the aircraft logbook. The aircraft weighing is performed on aviation electronic scale BAT-23.

Manufacture and repair of the aircraft furniture equipment items

In aviation engineering service there is a section, responsible for manufacturing and repair of aircraft furniture equipment items, where all necessary facilities for timely and high quality manufacture and repair of aircraft furniture equipment items are available.

The works on production and repair of furniture equipment items are carried out by experts who received theoretical training and practical mastering, and who are certified and authorized to perform works.

The materials, used for manufacture and repair of furniture equipment items, meet FAR 825 requirements and are certified for use in commercial aircraft and approved by the CAA of Ukraine, according to instruction letter № 1.18-5914 dd. November 10, 2003.

On each piece of furniture equipment items the engineering department develops the appropriate documentation.

Installing of the safety harness for crew members

According to the documentation on installation of the safety harness for crew members of An-24, An-26 aircraft, developed by the SE “Antonov” and approved by the CAA of Ukraine, the aviation engineering service shall install these systems using store bought products from ABI (Aircraft Belts, Inc.).

Works are performed by specialists, who have studied the design and technological documentation on how to install these systems and who are authorized to perform work.

The airline also provides the flight information transcript for An-24, An-26, Saab-340B aircraft with registrars like: МСРП-12-96, ЭБН-12, БУР-4, ЭБН-4700, К3-63.
